Torchwood is shot on HD and has been since it’s birth on BBC 3. The costume requirements on this series vary from episode to episode and from series to series. There are specific “hero” costumes for the main members of Torchwood and it has allowed me to work in various periods from late victorian, to the 1920’s, 40’s, 80’s and the fictional 51st Century.
This series is a collaboration using CGI, Green Screen, Stunt doubles, wire work and special effects. The costumes are always interesting to design and are scrutinised in detail by the fans of the series.
